Robert D. Brown, MD, PhD

Dr. Brown is an expert in liver diseases, including alcohol-related liver disease and chronic hepatitis C infection, who combines research and patient care to improve outcomes for patients with these diseases. He has co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles and is the Editor-In-Chief for Liver Transplantation. In addition to his role as chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, he has received several major grants for his research into new diagnostic and treatment approaches to liver diseases. He is also co-founder and vice president of the Empire Liver Foundation, which works with the New York City Department of Health to improve the health care of patients with liver diseases.
