Panta Rouhani Schaffer, MD, MPH, PhD
Dr. Panta Rouhani-Schaffer is a board-certified dermatologist who collaborates with patients to help people understand how their questions about their skin fit into the full picture of their overall health. Before receiving her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Schaffer conducted research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s national headquarters, earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of South Florida, and then also earned a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Miami.
After graduating from medical school, she completed an internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach and finished her residency training in dermatology at New York University. In addition to running her own dermatology practice, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU and launched a laser clinic at the VA Hospital in New York Harbor, where she treats post-combat veterans.
